Why a game about streakers? What's the story about the development of CPS?

Well everything started as an idea to make a game for the 2014 World Cup but we wanted something different, not a soccer game. So we did a prototype with Atari graphics about a streaker running into a soccer field and he needed to catch followers to make a giant conga, something like a mix between Snake and Pac-Man.


We showed the game at the Gamelab 2014 fair in Barcelona and people really liked the instant fun and the craziness. Later we created a more advanced prototype with new graphics plus the brawler mechanics and we got selected to enter GameBCN's videogames incubator, where we created our company and started the full production of CPS... until now!

It's a game about streakers but they don't run naked, WHY??

We don't have enough pixels for that! (internal studio joke). Yes, they run naked (check the last trailer) but you have to unlock it! ;)

What's the game's objective?

You are a streaker and the security forces (those guys wearing black suits) will try to stop you be all means necessary. Your objective is to defeat them wave after wave, picking up new weapons, items and followers (check below) to easy things up. Also you'll need to beat up the team players, the referee and new powerful enemies! And don't forget to stole the shiny cup if you can.

Who are those guys following me??

They are your fans! If you pick up a follower (the guys with a green arrow) he will follow you and start a conga. If you collect 3 followers they will transform themselves into a magic attack that you can unleash against your enemies. Pick up 6 or even 9 and you'll unlock a more powerful magic attack! Keep in mind that the security forces will try to stop your followers and maybe they can save your life sometimes.

How long is this game?

There are 3 main stages plus infinite loops with increased difficulty. Also there are random events in each stage and there's a random factor in each enemy wave (check below). But streakers don't have an easy way of life so CPS is not an easy game :P You'll need to replay it again and again to master it, like the old arcades that we love :) Also you can try to beat all the challenges, fight for a better rank, unlock new hats, complete the almanac, play online with friends or try the other game modes.

Where are the hats??

You start with no hats and in order to unlock them you'll need to beat the bosses. Everytime that you defeat a boss there's a change that he'll drop a new hat, so grab it and it'll be yours forever and ever!

I grabbed a lot of coins, now what?

You won the greedy medal! :D You can use the coins to win more points and get a better rank! Also we have something planned for the future.

The weapons, items and enemies spawn random?

Not exactly. We can define how many enemies and weapons/items spawn on a wave but there's also a random factor so every time that you play you'll not face the exact same number of enemies in that wave or find the same weapons. This way everytime you play is a bit different. However we can "force" an enemy or a weapon to spawn on an specific wave.

This game is too damn impossible!

Who said streaking was easy? :P CPS it’s not an easy game but when we tested it with several groups of people they really enjoyed the challenge. It’s an arcade game about replaying the level all over again to get better and better and finally beat the boss. Also remember that when you beat a boss there’s a chance to get a new hat that will improve some of your abilities or give you new ones.
