Tips for catching whitefish?

I cant seem to catch these fish. I have ta lure that says its best for them, and a bait on it that is good for them. I tried in the shallower area, but I havent had any luck. Im wanting to grind them for the achievement and wondering if there is a specific spot in the depth meter I should keep the lure or something to help out.

There's an archivement for whitefish? Are you shure?

There are two achievements for whitefish actually. One for catching 50 and 1 for catching a 2 kg whitefish.
Do you know what time of year/day you fished at ?
