Scav rep help (PvE)

I have just started my first couple of raids recently trying to build scav rep (I did my research before playing) and I can't do it. Scav raiders and PMCs look too similar through irons when being shot at, santa is KOS for some reason, and going into a room is a gamble on whoever on the other side is neutral or death via head,eyes. Current rep is -0.11. I never shoot first. I don't know a plausible way to drag myself up without actually going insane.

my best recommendation is just use car extracts as much as possible when playing PMC until you can better differentiate PMC and scav or when playing scav spam voice lines and listen out for the language the enemies speak all PMCs speak english most of the time even the bears speak english with an accent and both sometimes respond if you use voicelines like "need meds" or "need ammo"

Raiders don't count as scavs for karma, so shoot anyone that shoots back with the exception of some bosses that you're not allowed to retaliate against. Besides, as a scav you likely won't win open 1v1 fights simply because you generally don't have armour, so run for cover and fight on your terms. Scavs often respond to mumbling or yelling (F1), so you can press that if you aren't sure.

The main benefit of karma is achieved at 6.00, which will take a long time, as in 0.01 per scav raid long time. Better to focus on your PMC and just play a scav when its off cooldown.

Thanks for the responses. I'll figure it out somehow by running track on interchange and a couple curses. Salewas don't collect themselves.

Shoot everything that moves except the bosses. It'll work itself out.

This, i rarely do (PvE) scav runs nowdays since i can just keep running ground zero car extracts. Accidentally killing a PMC hits too much of the rep and accidentally aggroing a scav is just too much of a hassle.

The Grind for fence rep is crazy bro, after the 4th extract from the car you only gain 0.01 fence rep. At this rate just play the game normaly and when possible do the car extract
