Tarkov no longer runs on linux at all
Before this update you could play PvE solo perfectly fine. Now, the game won't launch. Any way to fix this?

For those of you that have been locked out since the 1.0.0.2 patch due to battleye error on game launch. Try these steps below in Lutris

1) Change wine version to "System (wine)" (i use 10.15 but other versions of wine maybe work).
2) Execute exe in wine prefix (second arrow at right of Play button).
3) Navigate to Escape from Tarkov folder and select "EscapeFromTarkov_BE.exe".
4) Open this file, this pop up window shows BattlEye installs and cant update. after that close.
5) Change wine version to your prefered selection.
6) Open wine regedit (second arrow at right of Play button).
7) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\BEService
8) Edit "Start" key and change to 2 (3 -> 2) (This change how service of BattleEye starts, in 3 it starts manualy and 2 is automaticaly).
9) Start the launcher via steam and play as usual. (If you get a "wrong encryption paramaters" error on launch of game reverify game files in steam and launch again)

Thanks for the input, I disagree with what you have to say but to each their own.

The issue is related to anti-cheat not loading anymore. It worked fine before the update.

Unfortunately no, but I did open a ticket. I didn't see anything in their patch notes saying they disabled linux. We're not asking for proper support, just don't block us just to block us.

Kind of surprised they allow it at all since this uses a kernel anticheat.

From what I can see on a few of the linux discords for EFT any attempts to bypass this BE check can potentially lead to your account being banned.

GG bois I guess linux users escaped from tarkov first

Easy Anti-cheat and Battle eye have options built into them to enable them for linux. There are tons of games with them enabled.

This is a brand new issue, they probably just updated battleye or something.

This is a brand new issue, they probably just updated battleye or something.

They moved where it checks for battleye, at launch of game instead of loading into a match

Unfortunate if it stays this way. I remember when they claimed linux support was coming, now they're actively sabotaging it.

Why bother you play PVE, I think that explains a lot
we get it mate , you havent felt the touch of a woman for a while .

If I would of bought it on steam, sadly I didnt, had tarkov for bit, but if I did, I would use this as a reasoning to get a refund. Devs promised linux support, now they broke what little they had.

The same reason I didn't use windows 8. It's bad and 11 is even worse.

They can very easily enable anti-cheat and the game works better on linux.

@switorik, have you found any resolution to this? I am trying to figure out how to find a resolution to this. I had no issues playing at all before yesterday as well. I sent you a friend request to chat more if you're open to it. I love this game and want to find a resolution for all us Linux guys
