Tsioque (pronounced Chiock) is a weird, weird game. also I'm putting this here, my friend James bought me this so shout outs to him. but to start off the hand drawn visuals look great and the game play is good, well as good as a point and click adventure can get. Yeah it baffles me this genre still exists these days but honestly I really don't see much of a reason this game should have been in this genres. and I imagine most people haven't played point and clicks before so I will explain a bit of how they work.

First you can only interact with things with clicking like combat or movement,Second they are puzzle games in which you collect items to solve said puzzles. which sound like fun at first. but in practice basically the conventions of the genres only make it worse in my opinion. take for example a survival games limit a players freedom to create fear, unease, and stress and slowly limit those shackles as you progress. whereas point and clicks just feel slow because you cant directly move you're character and the way the difficulty curves works is buy just making the puzzles more obtuse rather that new mechanics that get expanded upon. That said I only got stuck on puzzles 30 percent of the the time which is some of the best for this genre (low bar I know). And these may sound unfair to games that were prevalent 20 years ago but this game is relatively new. I just don't know why someone would make a game in this genre when most people don't like it just limits a games potential. and the reason I'm saying of all this is BECAUSE this game is good it should be anything else for it's own sake. I could've seen this game being a great puzzle platform. And while point and clicks aren't my type I won't call it bad because its not my thing, that's stupid.

In the end even though this game is very well made and probably one of the best of its genre, That won't change much when people don't care about point and clicks to begin with. If you want the puzzle elements done right play a puzzle game, If you like the writing play a visual novel. And I can't really recommend this game to anyone purely because of the genre being so niche. Which hits even harder when seeing the games ending I will spoil it here but it's not like you were gonna play this anyway. the ending was all in her head but this time I didn't really mind its not like this game ever made sense. and the ending is a meta ending about the developer making THIS game and struggling to pay the bills, banking on this game being a success. And I know the person/s who made this game are talented, They are. I don't mean to speculate about a persons financial situation But my guess is this game didn't do so well. And I really hate to see good projects fail. If anything you should buy the game to support the developer/s. With all of that out of the way my final verdict is a 8.4-10. thank you for reading.

En el mundo de \TSIOQUE\, una adorable y valiente princesa llamada Tsioque es la protagonista de una historia que mezcla encantadores visuales de cuento de hadas con una desesperante urgencia por no morir y resolver un puzle. ¿Quién dijo que ser atrapado en tu propio castillo encantado iba a ser fácil, eh?

El estilo artístico de TSIOQUE merece un aplauso standing ovation, o mejor aún, un click continuo de ratón. La animación dibujada a mano no solo es bellamente detallada, sino que te hace sentir como si hubieras saltado dentro de un libro ilustrado mientras tus padres aún decidían tu hora de dormir. Además, el juego es un festín de rompecabezas que te harán rascarte la cabeza, y de vez en cuando, desearías poder tirar tu mouse contra la pared. Pero eso, amigos míos, ¡es parte del encanto!

El diseño sonoro es otra carta bajo la manga de este juego. Los sonidos son tan buenos que podrías jurar que fue hecho por un mago, uno de esos que antes de irse dejó unas pocas pociones mágicas de buena música y voces que definitivamente añaden sabor a la experiencia.

Aunque es encantador, el juego a veces puede sentirse tan lineal como una fila en el supermercado. Más interactividad no estaría de más, algo que te haga sentir menos como un espectador y más como el controlador del destino de nuestra querida princesa. Además, algunos rompecabezas podrían usar un toque de variedad, porque a todos nos gusta un poco de salsa picante en nuestra comida de vez en cuando.
