how to fix/bypass shader error (IDGXISwapChain)

1. go to your cod files (Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered\players2)
2. delete this file upshd.dat (this is the shader file)
3. when the game launches make sure to cancel the shaders pop up staright away by clicking cancel then cancel again
4. go into settings and disable shader caching

what do the shaders actually do, does this mean the game will look worse now?

You will have stutters for a while but it should be fine after a couple matches. Shaders make the game look the way it does.
