Shader cache - how long did yours take

so 4 of us just done this and even on fast SSD this has taken upwards of 30 minutes to complete for modern warfare remasterd. Anyone else had this really long

Mine took about eight minutes, and I'm on a standard HDD. Not sure why yours and your friends' took so long :s

Just update your drivers again and it will do it all again
Also for me takes 30 mins very time

I have an NVMe SSD (Samusng 950 Pro) and it took close to 10 minutes. I don't think it has to do with the type of storage device used.

My question is why do I need to do it more than once. I am loading shasders everytime I start the game. Nevermind I think my Nvidia driver update caused it. Still pretty silly.

when i try to populate the shader cache it freezes. any idea?

If you have a nvidia card, go to nvidia control panel - 3d options - and deactivate shadercache there. Then try again...should help actually cause it shouldnt even try to

Go to "C:/Program Files x86/Steam/steamapps/common/Modern Warfare Remastered Multiplayer/players2" and delete upshd.dat. Then restart game. That should do it.
