Playing PC on controller - lacking aim assist?

Title says it all, I play CoD on a pad and I have the aim assist options enabled yet I can't feel a damn thing in-game. I can remember CoD4 on the 360, or MW2/BO3 having slightly stronger aim assist. It feels like it doesn't exist in this game, makes playing on a pad incredibly difficult.

I grew up playing CoD on a pad. It isn't about my peripheral choice, I'm asking if aim assist is actually apparent within the game.

I thought it was fine, only played for about 30 minutes though. I use a DualShock 4 controller with FPS Freeks and Bumper Jumper Tactical Flipped and I'd say I'm barely on-par with seasoned KB+M users.

If you are using a game controller then get a console!!! PC aint for you!!!

the game does not have aim assist as it provides an advantage and can be exploitable

Aim assist exists and works how it should in MW:R although going up against M+KB users is pretty fatal in a simple MP game like this. Aim assist was more prominent and useful in the likes of AW and BO3 with the more complex advanced movements but against seasoned COD 4/old school players who are experienced with mouse and keyboard along with the basic classic COD movements is very difficult even with a fully aim assisted controller.

Go into a private match with bots and turn aim assist off and compare it with it turned on in the same game - you'll notice a big difference but not as significant as an aim assisted controller against M+KB users.

PC is an open platform. We all know this going in and is one of the reason PC is praised compared to console.

You get to use any keyboard you want, any mouse you want, any hardware you want (including monitors with refresh rates up to 240Hz which does provide a HUGE advantage) in most games, so why would a casual thing like gamepads not be included in such an (again) open platform?

Trust me, for CoD, I do want to go back to my PS4. But what if I've bought an extremely expensive 1440p or 4K display that just makes all 1080p-rendered (some 900p) games on the PS4 look so soft I can't even focus on the actual gameplay? Not to mention "30 FPS being acceptable"...

So someone that is unable to use MnK with a disability or something, ♥♥♥♥ them right? You guys are idiots. PC allows us the option to do whatever we want, if you are so narrow minded why dont you go to console. They like only having one option for ♥♥♥♥.
