And I can't agree that everyone is camping. People like to call me "campers" those players who try to be smart, to predict enemies' actions and so on.
If you don't like this playstyle you can always play Black Ops which is oriented towards run-and-gun playstyle much more.

I'm not against the tactical game, I'm annoyed when the dudes are sitting on the spot and camping. In the original people did not play that way, not even for fashion.

So if someone is 'camping' whats the way to get them? Just keep running into their line of fire hoping to hit them? Come on dude, ofc its takes 'strats' to play this game, whether its tdm or s&d! Its these comments that clearly show what this community has become, cant kill someone so we'll moan that they're camping or cheating in some way. Silly

There arent many campers, most are people in tacitcal spots. Campers are people that sit in corners and waiting for people to come to them. Tactical people actively fight people from a vantage point, probably standing still for a while, these are not campers.

I have couple of theories why ppl camp. First, it's fun, and might be in some cases more effective than running around the map finding nobody. Secondly, the movement system is different when compared to the original one. In cod4 you could get to many good spots with 125, 250 or 333 fps. It might have been some players' goal to get to those spots over and over again to dominate the game or just pick up a couple kills from them. The movement nowadays feels sluggish especially with locked 91 fps, I'd say that around 50% of the spots and glitches were removed when moving from cod4 to mwr. One of the most notable "glitch" was bouncing. Bouncing was fun and everyone would do it. Nowadays even strafing is very nerfed and thus it's easier to sit at the back of the map with your sausages grilling behind you at your campfire, than to run around. Camping is easier, takes less effort for a better end result.

Again there arent that many that do, roughly the same amount of 'actual' cheaters and campers, but again, the true meaning to camping has been lost to a lot of people, they think that if you stand still for more than a few seconds that is camping, even if you're in the middle of the map, open to everyone, thats still camping according to 90% of the players today. Its just wrong, nothing more. People camp for all sorts of reasons, some because they arent very good and others because they want to spawn kill and i guess some just to annoy. But as i said there arent that many.
