Hey, is the game active in 2024?

i have played the game on ps4 like 3 months ago and iam thinking about buying it on steam, but ive heard that the game is not even active, is this true? am i better off buying mw2 2009 or cod 4

It is active on the same principle as Call of Duty: Ghosts and Black Ops 3 - people play only TDM mostly, but I can find matches pretty consistently.
