Can't change resolution, because it won't change to full screen

When I go into graphics settings, I tried to change the resolution to my monitors default. Unfortunately you can't change you resolution unless you're in fullscreen.... only thing is when I click from windowed to fullscreen, it goes back to windowed mode. No pop up saying "Do you want to revert back to windowed ect..." Anyone know a workaround to this?

Only this is when I did that, the resolution is set to 3840x2160... my monitor's resolution is 1920x1080= since its set to doubles the resolution I usually use, im getting a lot less frames.... Also my monitor isnt a 4k monitor.

I'm getting the same issue. For some reason all my new games are defaulting to 4k and I'm using a 1080 monitor but at least on the other games I can change it. On this I'm stuck in windowed mode and when I try to change the resolution a little padlock appears next to the meny item.

Keep the Aspect Ratio on Auto, then I had it manually set to 21:9 it wouldn't go Fullscreen, setting it to Auto allowed it to go Fullscreen.

Nope this doesn't work for me. It's set to auto anyways, so I can't change it off even if I wanted to.

Go into the config file and change the resolution manually and it should let you into Fullscreen after that. I was having that issue, it kept putting my resolution to one my monitor didn't support and forcing me to window it.

Config file is located at: \\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered\players2\config_mp.cfg

Find "seta 0x118929AD" and change the value to whatever resolution you want (e.g. "1920x1080")

The fix for me was disabling the teamviewer button to share the screen (button with the 2 arrows). Rightclick on that and disable that damn thing :)

Also when you have installed MSI afterburner + rivatuner, make sure to disable them as well. As I speak it has to do with screen overlays. GL!

it is an overlay thing. teamviewer was also my culprit. and odds are fi the game is setting at a higher res than your monitor supports, its trying to do its with dsr factors. disable whatever overlay you have, be it teamviewer, obs, nvidia, etc, they will all couse this resolution issue. turn off dsr in your nvidia control panel if the res is automatically being set too high.

Hey guys, just select "Fullscreen Borderless". It's working for me.
