Hello, i have black screen and game crash after level loaded. I got message:
Create2DTexture(mtl_metal_stainless_steel_sú 06fdbf04,256, 256, 0, 77) failed: 887a0005 = The GPU instance has been suspended. Use GetDeviceRemovedReason to determine approprite action.

Any advice how to manage it please?

I have played the original version of the game 5 years ago with no problem. Since then i have new pc and bought the game on this winter sale. when i start game first i get popup message window that says that new hardware is found and if i want to change the settings to new hardware. when i say yes, game crashes immediately. when i say no, game crashes immediately. so i dont get even a start screen. i dont get further then the popup window at start. when i tried to get a refund its denied because my account shows 7 hour on playtime. but my account also shows that i played last on 2017. and the rules states that you cant have more then 2 hours of playtime from the moment you bought the game. so how can i have more then 2 hours playtime on a product bought on December 31, 2022 when last played on 2017. So at the end i have a game that i cant play bc of crashes and no refund.

im getting hard crashed when loading bog mission. Multiplayer is stuck too at loading cashe
i bought the game on christmas sale for 20 euros and still isnt worth.

It's likely been said already....but I managed to finally run the game on Windows 11.

Single player anyways, would not run at all. Screen flash black a few times, one that looked like a strange resolution change, then CTD. Running again would get a popup about running or not running in safe mode. No difference there, either one does the same CTD.

I opened the local files, found a file named h1_sp64_ship
Right click, show more options, troubleshoot compatibility.
It auto selects options for Windows 8. Test program gives an error, but once you hit it once you can continue and save the settings.
Go back to steam, hit Play, game works fine for single player campaign.
Go back to compatibility wizard and save settings.

For multiplayer, seems to work the same except the file is h1_mp64_ship
I had to cancel the shader creation otherwise the game would just keep locking up.
Cancel shaders, go to options and disable shader creation. Seems to run fine after that.

but i have still 1 tb free space on this ssd

After playing the game for 2 episodes, I couldn't play any more. Because the game opens, I say continue, but it stays on the loading screen and freezes. It shows no progress. I want help on this.

I've opened threads many times, but to no avail. I did what is written here, but it still didn't work. It's not good for Steam. There are always problems with the games I bought recently and we cannot contact Steam and solve these problems in any way. This is wrong. I need help.

its impossible to play sinlge player now i cant even load into the mission without an error code about a texture

My issue was that both my lapdoggie and pc, played the game, but when i got to the mission screen for war pig (about an hr into the game), it would lock up and come up with a graphic error. This is what i did, and it worked,
first off go the game directory, rename the existing players2, to players2.bk (.bk is arbitrary, just change it's name). then make a new dir, name it players2,
search for :: "call of duty modern warfare remastered players2.zip"
unzip that file to the directory you just made. Then open through geforce exp, ( cause i read it on my journey that even though those files look like archive zip files, not quite, but geforce exp deals with it so it self configures.
After that, no issue, knock on wood either play it through just steam, or through experiece, on my end both have fixed that f'n annoying bug.
my lap doggie is a MSI Pulse GL76 11uek, running win 11 pro Ver 22H2, and my pc is a 11 year old gigabyte potato. pointing that out just to say the fix i detailed above worx on both of my systems.
ps. after the a lockup (s), a check of the event viewer gave me this err mess. Always a good plan to look at the event viewer log (admin events), gives you a starting pt. the mess i got back was this ::
The RstMwService service terminated with the following error:

if you search for that error, it more or less says you have a corrupted sys file, and you should run
sfc /scannow.
and some dism commands
or check this site out, it fully explains the command sequence to use.

trust me, d/ling a win.iso, and just using DISM, is AMAZINGLY faster then building fresh build, it patches all windows glitchy drivers with factory new lesser glitchy drivers. (save that for when you get really bad BSOD's lol)

you need to make a copy of config_mp.cfg and rename it to config.cfg (in your player2 folder)i did not have any those files i had to get them elsewheres
