FINAL FANTASY XI: Ultimate Collection - Abyssea Edition

Cannot transfer PlayOnline ID.
I created both a PlayOnline and Square Enix account. On the management website I can successfully log into both accounts but every time I try to transfer my ID into the account I get the declination message:
"This PlayOnline ID cannot be transferred. Please contact the Square Enix Support Center for further details."
I scowered through the Support pages but no automated answer even helped me understand what is going on. Has anyone else gotten this message? Any information appreciated.

Did you ever find the answer? I'm having the same problem, and when i try to start the game it's giving me the content ID issue.
Same problem, perhaps get a registration code, if you can?

I had the same message and after I called them there was an outstanding service charge on the old playonline service from when I quit three years ago. Are you a returning player? All I had to do was log on playonline with the member id and it directed me to a website to pay the outstanding balance, then I could start everything up normally. Square Enix support (858)790-7529....if you are prepared to wait for like 30mins on hold they can help you.

I sent queries to the square enix email support center. I have yet to receive any answers. There goes 10$. That is what I get for trying to play an ancient MMO.
