Here are the modified .14p files. now you can use them in any scenario and they basically are now immortal with unlimited lifespan (for the historical setting that is). credits to OP Blackkite for .14p files and Shinkansen from CE forum for CE table.

I've been trying to find ROTK XI portraits in sizes larger then 240x240 otherwise they can look blurry in the custom portraits expanded view. Sadly no luck so far

you could check out Kongming.net they have portraits from every ROTK game upto 11

Uploaded an updated version on my progress with this project, there should be about double the number of characters now.

But sorry it's still very rough for now, I've been very busy with other things lately, and actually I'll be away from my laptop for about 1 week from now. I hope I can continue with this after I'm back.

A couple of important things here:
-It turns out that parents and relatives settings are cut off automatically if you export, so you do have to set them manually after importing these files.
-I also made some adjustments to the characters' min loyalty stat & personalities so they will have proper loyalty with the main ruler characters.

Yeah I know, but it gets even weirder that way IMO... For example forcing the names to become Liu Bei & Liu Shan here will cause the game to set them as "Bei Clan" & "Shan Clan" when it's supposed to be "Liu Clan" for both... :/

Really, if only it were possible for someone to mod the game so it can show the inputted names to "Lastname Firstname" by default, it'd be a win-win solution indeed.

Well yeah, unfortunately only portraits from ROTK 12 & 13 do have 422x600 size...
But apparently in Japan they often share only square portraits (240px) too, and in that case you could just ignore the 422x600 one (leave it blank) and only place the other 4 sizes.
