So in short no you can no longer just rush your enemies with Kenshin. Hell the Uesugi are not even in the God-Tier of clans in this game (this time around the God-Tier clans are Hojo, Oda, Shimazu and Mori).
P.S : Just castle, pesants, sword and ship are god tier with the last clan comment...
Takeda is not a god-tier clan even with sanada and other competent generals?
EDIT: every game I had in NA: Rise to power, and Iron Triangle, Takeda always rise as my greatest opponent/last opponent. That's if I'm playing a country in the west, such as Shimazu or Mori.
So no in this game the Takeda are not God-Tier in any scenario.
Also I wanted to add that while the Uesugi are definitly not God-Tier in this game, they are in fact still a really good clan. Honestly I would put them above the Takeda in this game, if only because of their much better starting position, because Echigo (or rather the two provinces its split into in this game) is one of the best provinces in the game, espacially in the early game, due to the two mines on the Island Sado (this gives the player some much needed cash in the early game) and good amount of tribes.
Well, he was said to be a good strategist after all. :)
And... Not to mention, Shingen nearly died at Kawanakajima because of Kenshin's raid.
I've only played RtP and Iron Triangle, but in my opinion, I think the Uesugi were the strongest clan in the older games. Takeda has much better officers than the Uesugi, but none of them can compare to Kenshin. I remember when I first played Iron Triangle, I was shocked when I played against the god of war using Shingen; I was getting pounded even though I had much more troops, but that was back then when I wasn't familiar with using tactics and connecting them.
