NOBUNAGA'S AMBITION: Sphere of Influence

NOBUNAGA'S AMBITION: Sphere of Influence

Is Kenshin still a god?
Does he still have broken LEA and VAL stats? How about INT? I recall in Iron Triangle he only had around 70 INT, compare that to Shingen and Nobunaga's 96. Also, is he still a cavalry general like before? I've always liked the fact that I could rush to my opponents with the god of war.

Kenshin is still an amazing officer, but it's not like in Iron Triangle and Tendou, where he had 130+ LDR (if you count items) and could pretty much kill anything. Also his INT is in the 80s range in this game (I think).
So in short no you can no longer just rush your enemies with Kenshin. Hell the Uesugi are not even in the God-Tier of clans in this game (this time around the God-Tier clans are Hojo, Oda, Shimazu and Mori).

Takeda is not a god-tier clan even with sanada and other competent generals?

EDIT: every game I had in NA: Rise to power, and Iron Triangle, Takeda always rise as my greatest opponent/last opponent. That's if I'm playing a country in the west, such as Shimazu or Mori.

With out player interference the Takeda in this game will usually be unable to break free of the Hojo - Oda - Uesugi encirclement they will find themselves in. Also the Takeda had there there officers nerfed by Koei themselves in Tendou and that carried over to this game.
So no in this game the Takeda are not God-Tier in any scenario.

As a huge Kenshin fanboy it's heartening to hear he's still pretty good. I think trading that ridiculous leadership score for some more INT is a welcome change though. :steamhappy:

Ya, I too think that that was a good move on Koei's part.
Also I wanted to add that while the Uesugi are definitly not God-Tier in this game, they are in fact still a really good clan. Honestly I would put them above the Takeda in this game, if only because of their much better starting position, because Echigo (or rather the two provinces its split into in this game) is one of the best provinces in the game, espacially in the early game, due to the two mines on the Island Sado (this gives the player some much needed cash in the early game) and good amount of tribes.

Well, he was said to be a good strategist after all. :)
And... Not to mention, Shingen nearly died at Kawanakajima because of Kenshin's raid.

I've only played RtP and Iron Triangle, but in my opinion, I think the Uesugi were the strongest clan in the older games. Takeda has much better officers than the Uesugi, but none of them can compare to Kenshin. I remember when I first played Iron Triangle, I was shocked when I played against the god of war using Shingen; I was getting pounded even though I had much more troops, but that was back then when I wasn't familiar with using tactics and connecting them.
