NOBUNAGA'S AMBITION: Sphere of Influence

NOBUNAGA'S AMBITION: Sphere of Influence

Oda and Asakura
Im almost positive that someone in the Asakura clan slept with Oda's wife at some point cuz in EVERY game i play in a scenario starting in 1567 or earlier, as soon as Oda takes over Kannonji castle, instead of following history and going after Nijo, he seems to recall his extreme hatred for Asakura and he will make a beeline right through Azai's territories and start steamrolling Asakura and not stopping till he has destroyed them completely in one fell swoop.

Then of course in the 5-6 months it takes for him to totally massacre the Asakura, Azai breaks his alliance with Oda like always which then leave the entire oda army stranded in Asakura lands so of course that means "bye bye Azai" cuz as his army returns from the north he totally steamrolls though all of Azai's lands till again he is totally wiped out in 5-6 months.

Which basically means once Oda sends his entire army north, in less then a year that very army in the field takes out ALL of Asakura's bases and ALL of Azai's bases without any breath or break between and usually takes him less then a year to do this. This happens in my games, EVERY...SINGLE...TIME!!!! no exception.

Makes it really annoying cuz as i said in a previous post, my one thing i must do in every game i play no matter what is marry my heir to Azai's and Oichi's eldest daughter (cuz she totally rules!!!!) and if im a faraway clan or a small clan just starting out, it makes my window to do that very small to build up my trust with Azai to 100 and get my envoy there in time before he is totally steamrolled by Oda. My current game i ended up failing to do so cuz i started in 1567 with a custom clan and by the time 1570 hit i had just got my trust to Azai to 100, sent my envoy and 2 days before my envoy makes it to Azai, i get the bloody scene of Oda changing Odani castle name and the Azai is already destroyed GRRR! which means in 3 years Oda took over Kannonji, ALL of Asakuras lands and ALL of Azai's lands (CURSE YOU ODA!!!)

There's a theory that Nobunaga really did not love Kicho and also she's sterile. Nobutada's mother is Nobunaga's favorite concubine and the one he truly loves........

Oh, i know, the lovely Lady Kitsuno(wierd that she isnt in this game but meh), but my point still stands :P

It is said, that Nohime was infact steril but very loved by nobunaga and the oda clan, ofc depending on the stories you read.

There is a story, where Nobunaga's second son(?) helped Kicho to escape Azuchi after hannoji (Mitsuhide was enroute to azuchi to demand Kicho and Oichi's daughters, but was beating by Hideyoshi) and live her life in comfort but isolated until she died.
Something like that.

If only you can remarry after you kill the husband. Also poor Oichi, after Nagamasa he goes to Katsuie *shiver.
Also I think the Uesugi quest is kind of similar. After you conquer Toyama and Hirai castle, you must defeat the Hojo first before the Battle of Kawanakajima o_O

You picking a fight? xD For your sake ill just assume it was a typo and ur forgiven :D

Btw one thing ive noticed and makes me wonder who loved who the most. When Azai falls, Oichi lives on and goes back to the Oda with her daughters and Azai begs her to not join him in the afterlife etc, But then when Shibata falls, even tho he asked her not to, he doesnt put up much resistance when she refuses and allows her to follow to the afterlife right after. So does that mean Azai loved her more then Shibata and wanted her to live on and have a happy life? or does that mean she just loved Shibata more and couldnt bear to live without him but was ok living without Azai? hmm

Maybe he said that to Shibata because she wants to be with Nagamasa......

that very well is possible i guess, especially when Azai fell Oda demanded her return but when Shibata fell, she could have possibly used that as her chance to do so since Oda was no longer around to demand her back again.

Funny thing is Katsuie and O-Ichi were already married prior to the Oda-Azai alliance and Nobunaga forced them to divorce, when he needed someone to marry Nagamasa and after Nagamasa's death the two of them remarried, only to meet a tragic end at the hands of Hideyoshi.
Honestly I am gonna put my bets on Katsuie and O-Ichi being more in love with each other (though we are still talking about a time where love in marriage wasn't excatly a common thing, so that might not mean all that much).

I have never seen that in any record or documentation, only thing ive ever seen on them is Oichi and Nagamasa from 1564-1573 and Oichi and Shibata from 1582-1583 and thats it and with Oichi being the mother of my future wife(when i learn how to time travel and go back and steal her from Hideyoshi) ive checked every bit of documentation ive ever been able to find pertaining to Oichi

Kicho is Nohime aka Lady Noh

^this Kicho was her real name. Nohime was a nickname, which was supposed to make clear that she was a princess from Mino and not a native of Owari.

I got that info from Samurai Archives (a site I that is usually quite reliable in terms of information), to qoute O-Ichi's biography from the site:

Yup, basically every women from that time has their given birth name plus a nickname which all simply mean Lady whatever (Suwahime is lady Suwa, Tokuhime is lady Toku, Nohime is lady No aka lady of Mino etc.)
