Why nobunaga's flag is a chinese money sign?
Nobunaga sometimes use a money sign on his flag. Never know the reason why since it is Chinese money and not even Japanese origin.

Here are some references:

Just looking at the coin belong to this Chinese emperor Zhu Di
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yongle_Emperor
from the wiki, emperor Zhu Di is not a legit emperor but another usurper. Maybe Nobunaga saw himself overthrow/puppet the shogun?

No clue, but I do know Chinese currency was highly circulated across Korea and Japan at the time. I wouldn't understand the symbolic meaning behind WHY Nobunaga would bear arms with this symbol, or if it's even the same symbols on that flag. (Chinese characters are HARD).

it's read Tenkafubu (天下布武). the letter is different. here I copied some information form wiki.

After taking possession of the castle, Nobunaga changed the name of both the castle and the surrounding town to Gifu. Remains of Nobunaga's residence in Gifu can be found today in Gifu Park. Naming it after the legendary Mount Qi (岐山 Qi in Standard Chinese) in China, on which the Zhou dynasty started, Nobunaga revealed his ambition to conquer the whole of Japan. He also started using a new personal seal that read Tenka Fubu (天下布武), which means "All the world by force of arms". In 1564, Nobunaga had his sister, Oichi, marry Azai Nagamasa, a daimyo in northern Ōmi Province. This would later help pave the way to Kyoto.

i think it's nothing to do about chinese dynasty. just his personal seal with chinese letter to show his military strategy and maybe his economical too.

Once you start reading up on those crests, you'll be gone a while.

For example, did you know that the Japanese Prime Minister uses the Toyotomi Crest?

dat is very helpful info, also upon reading other materials... found out at the time japanese had been making counterfeit version of the chinese coin and use it to circle around the market, however, the quality of the coin is not as good as his real chinese counterpart. also due to the mass production of the coin, the value dropped. this is the earliest examples of people making fake money and mass produce them to cause inflation. The counterfeit yongletongbao coin worth only a quarter(1/4) of the real chinese one.

Well of course he does. Shinzo Abe is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane with delusions of grandeur. Seriously, I don't think even the Japanese people like him.
