How to call your ally to war?

I attacked the Shimazu but my ally do nothing.
and the call for reinforcement button is grayed out.

They can only be called to help if their territory borders on that of your target.

I was fighting right next to one of their town too. -_-'
Even the tribe i was appeasing didn't help me.

Also why are most action grayed out?
Can't recruit ronin,
Can't do this and that.
Most of the action are completly grayed out.
When do they unlock?

When something is grayed out the option is just not available. For ronin it just means there are no free officers in your territory at the moment. Its a pretty rare event to get ronin, like maybe once a year you get one. Other times you have no free officer who could do the task. Tribes also need to be over 80% appease to help in battle. Also , not all tribes are battle tribes, some only give yearly supplies or help you in naval battles.

Also, regarding your allys not helping, you need 40 points in relation to ask for reinforcments.
Ally just means they will never attack you but you need the same points as with non allys if you want them to help you.

If options are grayed out then you don't fulfill the requirements.
For most options you can simply check the help menu to see what unlocks them.
And Ronin are really sparse, unless another close-by clan gets conquered and their officers not recruited or executed by the conqueror.

When you appease tribes you get a message once they are friendly enough to fight for you.
They need to be fairly close to your target though and you should keep an eye on their support percentage since you might not be the only one making nice with them.

You need to be at 100% support.
The problem is that only works if there is no other clan close enough to the tribe to have influence, otherwise you'll be stuck at 99% no matter how often you try to appease them.

Just wanted to correct that its 70% for a tribe to assist and not 80 :)
