How to get guns?
im playing takeda I started as the viper of mino scenario Its 1547 currently in a big fight with nagao clan... guns would help a lot. I know u can buy it from western merchants but he never shows for takeda

Its an event. Muskets arrive first far in the west in the Shimada territory. After that they slowly get available farther east. Took me till around 1552 to show up for my custom clan who started next to the Hojo. So i guess you will have to wait a few years more.
It has nothing to do with the western traders. After the event you can buy them at any merchant like horses.

One of my earlier save, suddenly I can acquired gun since the Hojo must have battling some Takeda clan with musket inside. Also you can get gun from those TRIBEs with gun symbol . Tribe are random every game :D . In my game now, it is around 1546 ...
