Shogun title?

So i just destroyed the ashikaga clan and employed everyone including yoshiteru is he still shogun? or is there any way for me to become it?

You can become shogun when you have sufficient provinces, just before a quest will trigger, note that this only happen if you have "quest" activated

(is almost 1/3 japan maybe a little more)

Yoshiteru is now no longer shogun, since he is no loger a Daimyo.
Also after you have expanded some more one of your retainers should tell you that you can become shogun once you have 30 castles (only main castles' of provinces count) and aonce you have done that and have Nijo castle (the capital) under your control you will become Shogun.
As Shogun you can end the game through the "Ban Warfare" policy and you can give out ranks to other clans.
