There are actually 3 types of traders. Sakai merchant, normal merchant and european merchant. normal and euro merchant afaik will sell treasures. Not the sakai one, he only got the higher amounts of horses and muskets.
- Buy and Sell more food than other merchants.
- Sell more (Chinese) items than normal merchants.
- Sell more horses than the other merchants.
- Sell more muskets than the normal merchant, but less than the European one.
- Sakai merchants are available from 1534+, about 20-25 years before European merchants first show up, and will appear indescriminately (you don't have to run into clans that know of Christianity and Muskets first).
