The 1534 scenario has another Shimazu clan, forgot it's name. It was historical since there were open conflict between the two branches of Shimazu.
Also, when you put your mouse on any faction in any scenario, the top right corner of the faction screen should tell you if it's historical or fictional. The historical ones might also become fictional if you edited starting location for historical factions. I haven't test it out myself.
Oh yeah the "Sasshu Shimadu" now it makes sense, because when i searched for the "Shimadu So" faction nothing came up.
I m a bit curious about this, if i am not mistaken you're talking about the faction screen after choosing a scenario and before getting into the actual scenario itself, if that is true then i am bit confused since i even spawned a custom clan it still said historical on them (Assuming you're talking about the Historical/Fictional on top of the factions names),i also changed the starting locations as well and still said the same thing, at first i thaugh it was just a reminder that the scenario is historical or fictional and not actually faction related.
This is what i see after changing the starting location
This is what i see after changing starting locations and creating a new faction
PS: i am still fairly new to SoI since acsension, got used to the gameplay but still learning the UI
