Where do I get gems to Socket

I am level three on my first run through. I have about a half dozen items that can possibly have socket gems added. First what do they look like and second how do I socket them?

I also have something called the Eye of Antarit that I have no idea what I am supposed to do with?

They look like eyes.

All you gotta do is drag and drop.

Into the gaping hole(s). Items can have up to 3 sockets, I believe.

I don't know much about Story; only play Gauntlet.

Monsters drop those from time to time. Just not as often as equipment of course.

Not sure about the Antarit thingy. You should be able to tell by hovering the pointer over it.

There are no gems. The things you socket are talismans.

The Eye is a plot item. Probably necessary. I haven't dared try to stash it in my vault and it won't sell...

The eye is something you carry the whole Story, it allows your other NPC companions that are with you in a dungeon to ressurect after they are killed..It takes time though good for long fights usually boss.

Talisman are random drops and I also think I could buy them in my town from the Jeweler once you get her,
