Press shift while loading game or starting game to get debug mode. You can spawn ships with fn keys. Or custom ships with del key.

Ive held shift down i click resume game, but cant see anythign different. WHen i got the spawn ship menu, del does nothign, function keys do nothign either...am i missing something?
Tried holding shift when startign a new game, same deal, no hidden menus or spawnable ships.

Treid right shift too, which oddly jsut crashes teh game...not sure why, but if you ever press right shift at teh main menu, instant crash...not a big deal, but whats up with that?

if it's much like the test ship mode in the main menu, then this should works while you are flying the ship. which would make it a ship you can then attack and posalby board. not tried it so cant conferm. will do later.

You need to be using a console in the ship, prefebly the navigation console

How do you stay in a ships console though? It auto knocks you out of it when you save+exit.

why are you clicking save+exit when your at teh console? thats not part of enablign debug mode

Load your game while pressing shift.

Spawn a ship, walk to the ship, open the airlock, walk into the ship, walk to the navigation console, tadah you're in ship view. Now place cursor anywhere and tap any fn key.

To skip tutorial when starting a new game,
Hold shift while pressing new game, in starter dialouge press "sudo skip intro/tutorial" button.

What Ships actually exist in game? Cant find a "Broadsword" or bigger one.

you have to be in debug mode and using a bridge or cockpit. it will bring up a window where you can set factions and drag and drop ships around, potentially making them into flotillas as well.
In sandbox mode, debug mode is automatically enabled.
