Party Size Cap - can it be changed in the steam version?

Has anyone got any idea how to remove the annoying party size cap for the various difficulty levels? I can't get any of the old (i.e. dating from back in 2005 or so) mods to work with the steam version's save games (the load all saves exe doesn't work with the steam version) and I find the 4 member limit annoying. I very much doubt I'll want to play through the entire game 2 times to unlock 6 members for the 3rd (!!!) playthrough. I'd rather just play it once with 6 members. I also don't want to have to replay half the game just to get the mod working (which seems to be OK apart from saves not loading).

Does anyone know whether there are any mods that work with existing save games in steam v 2.3 (not Broken World) or any other means of customizing the party size limit for mercenary?

How about just having fun with it and playing it normally instead of being a fecking cheat and whining about it? if you like a game, then why wouldn't you play it through again? Ugh, humans always finding ways to destruct things....

Lol? Because people want to play games as THEY enjoy it, not as YOU or the developers want them to enjoy it.

And if you knew anything the devs cant be trusted with their own title cause they literally ran it into the ground with the mobile verison and then Dungeon siege 3, but hey you're right I shouldn't ever attempt to improve my gaming experience, I should always have a inside the box mindset.

And its not cheating, it was a cheap mechanic to force the player to replay the game 3 times to get the max out of it with each time being a few stat changes in the enemy and gear. Replaying through the same game multiple times with nothing really changing isn't a good mechanic to begin with.
