How do I kill him cause he's not taking any damage?

Line him up with the giant Eye of Zaramoth thing and blast him with that

You don't break them; just attack them a bit and they shoot a laser. Your job is to get Valdis to be there when the laser shoots. The eyes are indestructible; once you've fired it attacking it more will make it fire again in a bit.
