How to Play the Game in Fullscreen!
So, I used YoloMouse which is a cursor overlay to allow you to have custom cursors in fullscreen games. The mouse cursor is still there, it's not that it's not showing, it's actually pinned into the bottom right corner of the screen and when you try to move it out of the corner it's being immediately moved back into the corner. The mouse is still unusable, but at least I know it's still on the screen. I'm working from this to see if It's possible to get the cursor working again when in fullscreen.

I got cursor to work full screen based on this post: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2200245492

I downloaded an copied d3d9.dll and wine3d.dll into the ..\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Dungeon Siege 2 directory where the Dungeon Siege executable is located.

While the above solution fixed the cursor on the main menu, I found you'd run into another issue once you start a game. Once loaded in after the intro cut scene, you will find the screen is cut off and only showing you a small bit of the top right hand corner of the screen.

In order to fix this, I had to go and modify the Width and Height lines within the DungeonSeige2.ini file found in the folder C:\Users\{your windows user here}\Documents\My Games\Dungeon Siege 2.

Just open with a text editor like note pad and change these values to 1920x1080.
width = 1920
height = 1080

This alone will not work, you will find when you launch the game and get past the intro cut scene, that now you can see more of the screen, but still a significant portion of the screen will be cutoff and not visible. The only way I've found around that is to close the game, change your display settings in Windows to set your resolution to 1920x1080. To do this click on the Start button, click on Settings (gear icon), click on System, click on display and change resolution to 1920x1080. Also, make sure DPI scaling is set to 100%, as having this set to a higher value will also cause the screen to be cutoff when you get into game. Then launch the game and there you go, you should be running perfectly in the main menu, cut scenes, and once in game at full screen with nothing cutoff and mouse cursor visible and working.

I have the old CD version and not the steam version but I used the Wine v5.10 D3D wrapper for windows and that works in full screen. Game files have to be unmodified, so no campat mode or loader fixes. Just a clean game install. Simply drop the D3D9.dll and WINED3D.dll in the games root folder.

That's what he's using and you don't need any of these.

All you need is

All you need is the wrapper, no modified exe or the expansion. The wrapper works with DS and the expansion. It just runs the game in OpenGL.
