Legendary mod
Is it worth it? Can the campaigns be played succsesfully? Without any major game stopping bugs occuring? Is the balance ok? As in not becoming too easy?

Yeah legendary mod is awesome all the bells and whistles of DS 2 everything scales to your level so your gtg for challenge. I never got a chance to play the higher difficulties of any of the DS games.. this actually allows you to do that as your character transfers from game to game and keeps its level.

It works great, but be sure to start your character in the base DS2 campaign, as due to how the auto-level scaling mod works when enabled, you won't be able to pass the tutorial area after you'll play for some time in any other campaing. Another reason is that you lose your items when leaving said tutorial, but that's a minor inconvenience as you can always put these into your storage chest in any other campaing. Don't worry if you don't, though, the level scaling mod can be easily disabled/enabled at any time when playing / launching the game through "DS2AllSaves_Legendary.exe".

PS just remember that each time you die in any of the added campaings, quit to the main menu (don't save) and reload your save. The added reverse-town portal teleportation method breaks if you'd try returning to where you died using a portal. In case you'll save after death, you'll need to return to the spot you were in by foot.

Im currently playing with the Legendary mod and the only issue i have (and its probably cause im not setting the mod up right) is the fact that i cant use the enhanced texture mod for Dungeon Siege 1 >___<

Maybe im doing something wrong with installing the mod so if anyone in this thread knows what i can do to get these texture to install i'd appreciate it ^-^

But besides that, its great! Alot of quality of life improvements on top of being able to play through the entire series through one game is really nice (if we aren't counting Dungeon Siege 3 which sucked cause WASD controls)

Hey does anyone here know if Broken World is included in the legendary mod?
Not really a fan of the idea. Can't imagine playing through DS 1 with the butchered controls from DS 2. Not to mention that the games are pretty different in many regards. Homogenizing it all into one game essentially kills the experience of the original game.

Agree with InconspicuousBlackVan, its very different than playing DS1. Not only controls but also spells are different I think (imo DS1 + expansion has more different and fun spells while DS2 went overboard with balancing spells, though DS2 does have powers & skills). If you want to play DS1 maps, a good experience would be DS1 + expansion + legends of utrae mod + remake mod.. If you combine it with their the party mod for multiplayer or the unlimited summonings mod the Utraean Peninsula map is a lot fun to play.

"Hey does anyone here know if Broken World is included in the legendary mod?", according to the nexus mod page I believe so yes. BW is a good expansion, the hybrids classes are fun to play with.

As someone who got introduced to Dungeon Siege with the second game and has zero nostalgia for the first one, having recently finished the original Dungeon Siege's Kingdom of Ehb campaign, I kept missing the quality of life changes II made, especially the ability to teleport back to town and being able to hold more than two spells at a time + autocasting which, as that alone made me not experiment with buffs and stuff.

All in all, even having not played the mod yet (I have plans to do so in the near future), I can already say that it's gonna be an inherently different experience than playing the actual first game. There's no substituting experiencing the first Dungeon Siege, warts and all.

Theres a game breaking bug in DS 1 ehb campaign found a Naginata but on the ground its just labeled "Axe" and picking it up and mousing over it in inventory it will cause a crash.

Also the door after freeing Merik wont open.
