Dungeon Siege 2

Overpowered party/class-setups
I played through this game a few times since launch back in my childhood, and surely have not yet tried every possible class/party configuration...But I get the feeling that recently I found one that is pretty OP, because it feels like I play the game in fast forward mode. Now I start to feel like this game is not as balanced as I thought, and I want to know if you guys also found some hidden "sweet spots" to just go nuts in terms of damage output etc.

My party

1 - archer with throwing knifes:
skilling crits, throwing speed, penetrate and the riccochet skill (on lvl36 I think), Power: wild energy

2 - nature mage:
skilling wrath spells and Ice, 4 points ino the summon tree to unlock the provoke power, using ice magic and heal ofc

heres the tactic:
my mage uses the "bear wrath" spell combined with his skill bonus to increase the archers crit damage to 500% or smth, the archer has around 50% crit chance, and the ricochet therefore also 50% chance and 100% damage. That means every second throw, and hes throwing VERY fast, deals not only dmg that can one-hit all smaller creeps, but also one-hit the creep that is closest thanks to ricochet. So if he throws around 3 knifes in 1 second he can kill 6 enemies - if he's a bit lucky in 1 second. Then you add penetrate and groups just melt in an instant. And if you activate his power, he kills bosses / tanks with the same speed. Winning most fights in a few seconds really makes you feel like flying through the game :D

you might say ok hes a glass cannon, but there comes the mage again. He always (auto) has a pet, which is constantly using provoke. The damage output of the archer is so high, that the provoke power is recharged literally after 2 hits. That means every enemy is only attacking the pet, at all time. If this fails (which rarely happens), the mage is also freezing groups of enemies with ease, and the archers Items are maxing his life drain, so dealing damage heals him. Even if the mage dies, what happens ofc, his pet is mostly still there, enemies are still provoked, buffs are still active, damage output is still through the roof, so it's not really any problem. Most Endbosses I solo with the archer and his power while the mage takes a nap.. :D

another variant would be to use the mages invincible power toghether with the archers power, run into a mob, activate both, and just melt everyone without taking any dmg.

These 2 guys are the most fun I've had so far in this game, it's a bit tough at the beginning but rewarding in mid-/endgame. Nothing is as satisfying as those ricochets flying all over the screen just ripping enemies into a blood mist in a blink of an eye without them even seeing who killed them, while my killer gremal makes a nasty dance to lure them all into their doom. If you found some nice combos like this, let me know ;)

The summon provoke is very powerful, if you don't want to have a tank on your team. I personally prefer combat mages to archers, due to the extremely high dps you could get.
