All pets?
Is this a thing that can be done? I played this game a boat-load as a kid, and always used all actual characters. I've been getting the ARPG itch lately and (assuming I can make it run on Windows 10) I want to do something different in this one.

I never used pets in this, like, ever. Is an all-pet run even viable, or are they too weak?

The dire wolf, the special wolf quest in the first chapter, is super powerful as far as buffs go. I maxed it out pretty quick by saving 4 inventory spaces worth of items, unless I could equip them to my party, and didn't sell anything. I maxed it out on maturity way before the end of the first chapter. Gotta say, his stats shot up every time he matured, and he beat my half-giant warrior in strength and all the rest of my party in most stats. Although, I'm guessing they get a little better as you go on, like the dragon pet you get later on

What would be a good player class for an all-pet run?

I would suggest a Dryad Nature mage to get the buffs to healing since there really isnt a healer pet. The Necrolithid in Act 2 has a leech life spell but its more for survivability of that pet rather than healing of the party.

Aren't those 2 Naiads essentially healers?
