Missing mouse cursor fix (not a workaround)

I know I'm kinda late to the party for all those that were desperately looking for a fix to this issue but I've just started getting interested in DS2.

I applied the hex-edits Killah made for his fix on the DS2 executable. It should fix the missing cursor when playing fullscreen. You can get the fixed executable here:

The only downside is that it creates a bug when playing in windowed mode where the camera rotates way too fast when using middle-click (see https://steamcommunity.com/app/39200/discussions/0/1643164649220168122). Just use the Steam executable if you wish to play in windowed mode.

Not sure if its a good idea to install random .exe files to your computer. Last time I did that my pc was full of malware and trojans.

That's good advice. As a rule of thumb, don't download stuff from sites/people you don't trust.

It doesn't guarantee the file is 100% safe but the VirusTotal scan on the download page says no virus was found. I literally just hex-edited the original exe from Steam.

I'm afraid the fix doesn't work folks.
I for one am getting weary of constantly buying then refunding titles for Win10 that do not work, or that cannot be scaled back for older PCs.

Instead of saying it doesn't work, why not mention the steps you followed to install it? Maybe you did something wrong and we could help you.

It worked for me. Thank you very much.
All I did was download the file from the link, scan it for virus (none found), unziped the steam .exe into the game's folder, deleted the normal .exe and renamed the new one to DungeonSiege2 .
