Dungeon Siege 2

Dungeon Siege 2

No mouse cursor + can't run windowed mode
Hi everyone,

I recently try to play dungeon siege II on my new computer and everything works perfectly until the title screen shows up and my cursor is nowhere to be found. I looked out for answers on Steam's forums and everyone seems to think that putting it on windowed mode fixes everything so I tried and put "fullscreen=false height=900 width=1400" in the launch options but every time I run the game it tells me that I can't put it in windowed mode because my screen resolution is below 800x600 even though it's 1920x1080 right now. I really don't understand.

My computer runs on windows 10 with a AMD Radeon RX 580 graphic card. I really want to play this game and I'm really desperate for answers so if anyone can help me out that would be great.

Thanks

Im having this exact same issue. 1 and 3 work perfectly fine. I tried to make this run in windowed mode, tried chaning compatablility, tried to change resolution. I checked the settings and it said my computer does not meet the system requirements to run this game on its lowest settings. Im running windows 10, Nvidia Geforce gtx 960. unisntalling and reinstalling does not work either.

Well I saw somewhere that if you graphic card is an Nvidia you can just turn off the dsr factors in your control panel and the problem is resolved but I don't know for sure. I'm using an AMD so I can't test it myself and I don't see anything similar in my settings.

I tried but every time it tells me that my screen resolution is below 800x600 even though it's 1920x1080. I really don't understand. I mean I'm playing on a tv screen but it's a decent model. I don't get why the game can't see my resolution right the first DS run perfectly on my computer and every other games I played too.

thats what mine did as well. I went into the brows local files tab and clicked on the ds2 video config and set it to my video card. It ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it not being good enough to run it, thats when i put in that prompt. maybe that had soemthing to do with it? idk i just did a ton of random things to it unil it worked. I was about to just refund the game, once i got it to work i cancled the refund.

The current no cursor problem and having to play windowed is a bug in the Win10 Creators update, it's not only DSII that has the no cursor problem right now, other games are having weird and similiar issues too after the creators update rolled out. Note to all...this game ran perfectly before the Creators update. It's not you or your system. But as Shock_Tart had mentioned use the video config to choose a card first. Even if your card is not an option just choose anything that is listed there.

This is the fullest I could get a 1920 x 1080 screen filled without getting the "window + border larger than screen" error. If you are like me and do not hide the taskbar this will fill the screen top to bottom with taskbar up with just a small bit on the sides exposed. I am using these launch options.

fullscreen=false height=1008 width=1900 nointro=true noloadintro=true nospacecheck=true

I have the cursor and flickor problem, but managed to get the game to run in window mode - but no matter what I type in it always run in this very small window. Which is awful to play in. Would love to find a fix to fill my screen up more.

Dunno if this thread is dead but I have tried EVERY fix in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ book and NOTHING WORKS. I have tried running compatibility mode. borderless window program thing. Every command every edit fix what-have-you that is on the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ net and i can't get this thing to work. My resolution is 1360 by 768 and it claims that my resolution needs to be higher than 1080 by 768 to work. IT IS HIGHER damnit -_-
