Stuttering problem
Game is running at a stable FPS and seems to stay at 60, but I get stuttering issues as I pan the camera or take a few steps forward. Seems to be a bit worse depending on how many enemies are around and such. Anyone know of a fix?

Are you not running with any mods? You could simply try adding "maxfps=120" to your launch options. Library > right click ds2 > properties > set launch options.

I would guess if your computer is capable at achieving a constant 60fps it could go higher. A lot of newer computers have troubles running this game, and some don't.

People have also reported having problems with stuttering when they are using any video capturing software in the background. If you have xsplit, obs, shadowplay running in background tasks you could try turning that off.

You can pretty much search the forums here and find a plethora of good/bad in terms of FPS drop solutions. Lol. All very different from one another.

Hope that helps!

I'll also link these here, the communities involved have great information on fixing problems with this game. I have had mixed results on different computers using these solutions. But stil great work involved.

Good luck!

I have tried both methods that you linked, and nothing has worked yet. Also, I may be doing something incorrectly, but I typed in "maxfps=120" for launch options, but it still wont run at 120; just hovers at 60.

I am running with the legendary mod installed; funny thing is that my brother has the same specs (different motherboard) as me and also has the mod installed, but no problems.

I'm super late, I know. But you need vsync=false
To my surprise, it didn't introduce any tearing at all.
In any case, you may keep maxfps=120 so you don't waste GPU power.
I fixed the stuttering that way. Hope it helps you or others!
