Sid Meier's Pirates!

Sid Meier's Pirates!

Far inland city?
I was trying to do a full Dutch takeover, and I had been doing very well, untill I hit this city that was at least 50 miles inland. The problem is, I can't see the city unless I'm within a few hundred feet of it, and my map is useless, because it shows where I parked my ship, and not where the city is. How do I get to there?

Try walking around, keeping an eye out for landmark patterns, until you find it. One time I spent ~15 minutes walking around to find a lost city - but eventually I found it! :D

The best way I've found is to land your ship, bring up the map to figure out exactly which direction the town is in, and then use your compass to head staight for the city all the while scanning with your telescope, it took a few minutes to reach gran granada I think. You need to be really precise with your compass because there are no landmarks and once you get lost it is really hard to get un-lost.

Yeah, but the lost cities are lost, so if you want to find a lost city, surely it is best to get lost, too! :D

On another topic: this game is sooo difficult! Especially finding lost cities - it takes me HOURS.... I feel sorry for people who don't know to get lost to find lost cities - they must take even longer than I do to find them! :O

It's on a map, so it's not lost. Just really remote
