just looking at some game i used to love playing and this popped up any tried to do a key/pad set up for this .... sure i played this on psp or something eg tablet or something anyone still playing that do cool set ups as im just learning about the DECK i need glasses lol coz im soo old

In the steam controller settings you can try alternate layouts

Another issue -

Did anyone find a way to fix the cut-scenes? on my Deck they are blown out with lines - but the normal play screens look great.

NM - picked an old Proton from the list and it fixed it.

i loaded it up a few set-up to choose from and yeah the lines are a pain at the start yet others ok i look into it

I was just thinking of trying this one out on my steam deck, and I'm curious which version of proton that you got it working with?

Proton 5.0-10 worked fine for the 20mins or so I tested it for, videos with this worked well but haven't tried land minigames yet.
