How do I spin in the dance minigame?

Use your the number keys to dance, the key 1,3,7,9
Also, during the start of the game you can see direction keys at the right bottom end of the map during dancing.
But, after sometimes those direction keys will not show you any tips anymore, you have to learn to WATCH the HANDS of that lady to dance.
If your dancing performance is good you may get items that can help you to dance better. Or you can buy them from the merchant. (those items can just help you to a certain degree not 100%)

yeah I practically glued my eyes to the numpad thanks to this game but everytime I dance I never spin, I dont trip on anything, I dance correctly, but no matter how as soon as I see the prompt come up and press the numpad I never spin

Forget the numpadkeys.They dissapear on higher difficulties altogether. Just watch the Ladys Hands. Listen to the Music. You have to hit the Bar.

I found double tapping on the numpadkeys for the movement will make the small hearts around the big heart flourish steadily.

Can you dance to other directions ?
Try check your number lock keys again
If we react too slow we won't spin too
Also, watch carefully to the lady's hand,the lady will raise her hand to invite us to spin.

The spin flourish during dancing depends on timing the dance step exactly on the music, practically impossible without the dancing slippers, try not to look at the keyboard for the keys while dancing watch the hand gestures of the lady. the better you dance the bigger the heart grows if you have a maximum size heart at the end of the dance you will also spin the lady before kissing her and generate a better reward off her.
