Where is Montalban's Hideout?

I have searched east and SE of Campeche and east of Villahermosa for Montalban's hideout. I still cannot find it. Can someone tell me where it is? What is an easy way to find it? I have beat the game 3 times but do not remember it being so hard to find.

The map for his hideout changes every game, so nobody is going to be able to pinpoint it for you. The best you can do is pay really close attention to all of the landmarks and try to line them up on your map. I've only had to do this a couple of times, but sometimes you just have to use a serpentine search pattern: pick a spot and go west for while, then go north for a short time, then east until you hit the coast, then north, west, north, east, etc until you find it.

If your map doesn't have a red X on it, your game is bugged and you may not be able to find the hideout. Its rare, but it does happen.

Not sure how I did it, but when I went back into the game I went right into the hideout. Seems I had checked that area out before to no avail, but there it was. I beat him very easily.

im going there searching and searching and nothing.. even no temple at the north of cuttroath point.. really?

sometimes the maps are messed up, ive had a few where there arent any landmarks or cities

I think Cutthroat Point is messed up. I have a Lost City in my current game and I cannot get more than two landmarks to line up for several leagues in any direction. Lots of geysers, an avenue of dead trees, a few totem poles, a small handful of arched rocks, stone heads and Mayan temples (not on my map at all) but only one sodding deserted cabin!

The compass can be really counter-intuitive to follow when you're on land, too. Half the time, I'm going in the direction opposite or perpendicular to the one I meant to follow.

I always pay close attention the the coast and sail up and down until I find a similar detail. Its hard and sometimes it takes me 2-3 trips, and annoyed crew changes to find it. When you do find it, I hope your swordfighting skills are up to speed.

I'm having the same trouble, but I can't find it. It has been several hours online and in-game, and I'm concluding that I have been wasting my time.

Its now 2023 and still playin this game! :D Montalbanos hideout South East of Villa Hermosa. O God! I searched it and then realized.. you can spot that Captains Reef by sea. But you have to go to the Worlds End pirate bay south to Bruxelles.. Damn how difficult it was!!

Mine says southEast of Campeche and ot’s just blank map with geyser 2 dead trees and archrock. None shore line and none of the landmarks
