Sid Meier's Pirates!

Sid Meier's Pirates!

Games like Pirates! e.g a pirate simulator
So I ADORE this game (alt though t-bh i adotred the xbox version which is slightly different) I like the options, the combat, can anyone reccommend any other games like this? i'm not wild over graphics, dosen't need to be new.

I am aware and like black flag and rogue (and to be fair they both do lot of the "pirates!" things well, and some things better than the orginal but ultimately only as a side).

I tried tempest and was dissapointed, hard to control couldn't work out what was going on, or what i was suppose to do.

If you like board games, Merchants & Marauders.

I love board games, and if someone made a merchants and maurders app or computer game i'd be very happy!

Uncharted Waters 2 New Horizons on the Super Nintendo is a great Seafaring game, it lacks the flashy combat, but battles take place in Strategic style, and you can be a pirate, admiral, Trader, explorer, or any combination, it has multiple characters that have their own storylines that follow these.

It's a Koei title (Think Romance of Three Kingdoms or Nobunaga games), but it's got a very small learning curve compared to most their titles, but it has amazing economic depth for it's time.

Star Traders Frontiers is close to being a Sid Meier’s Pirates in space, expect with turn-based combat. The bonus is that you also get to customize and level up your crew and officers, and it has a lot more story to it (with dialog choices, so it’s very open-ended), but that’s all optional if you just want to roam around and be a pirate, smuggler, merchant, bounty hunter, or all of the above.

Plus the devs are awesome and update the game multiple times per WEEK, so there’s constantly new stuff. Highly recommend it for all Sid Meier’s Pirates fans (I grew up on Pirates and still consider it one of the greatest games of all time to this day, so I don’t make comparisons to it lightly or often).
