Screen flashing solution
I just purchased Dungeon Siege and had issues with screen flashing on my Win7 x64 system. I did some looking and found the solution for my case.

Right click on the game in Steam and choose properities. In the General tab, click the Set Launch Options button. In the window that appears, enter the following text "bltonly=true" (with no quotes).

Of course it doesn't work because that is not the solution. SkryZr make sure that you choose the x32 color scheme.

Thanks QuakeBert!

Adding bltonly=true to the launch options fixed the flickering for me (GTX 660 SC).

Now I can play this again without the annoying flickering.

hi guys, when i installed DS on my system (Win 7 x64) and added some few mods, I played without flickering, my shortcut line was ....DUNGEONSIEGE\DSLOA.exe nointro=true height=1080 width=1920 . Thats it! No compatibility for XP and so.

Few days later (today) i want to continue with my leveled char and ... crazy flickering!! I tried bltonly, vsync on and off, compatibilty mode etc. and except bltonly=true nothing else worked. However with bltonly on I had some minor flickers in menu, but in the game it was awful = unplayable.

Solution: exit Steam or disable overlay in its settings!!

bltonly=true works
nointro=true works
height=1080 width=1920 doesn't work

as an alternative workaround to the size issue might as well play on the original supported sizes using

fullscreen=false

Thanks a bunch QuakeBert !

bitonly=true eliminated the flickering menu/game screen for me. I'm running Win 7 Pro 64-bit with an AMD graphics card.

Hey, so I just got the game and I wanted to play itin a window. This works, but the mouse causes a flicker and appears as if I turned on mouse trail. I could play the game with it, sure, but I want to know if you, or anyone else knows a way to get the flickering to stop.

Right now I have Steam set to run it with:
width=1920 height=1080 fullscreen=false vsync=false maxfps=60 nointro=true bltonly=true

I don't know what else to do. I love the custom resolution. FYI to anyone else,
