Dungeon Siege

Dungeon Siege

Cannot get this to run on Windows 7!
I've read all the posts already here but I seem to have a different issue:

Whenever I load up the DSVideoConfig it comes up completely blank! There aren't any options under Video Driver or Resolution at all.

Can anyone help?

Go into where you game is, right click on it and go into "Properties". Then from there navigate to the "Compatibility" tab, "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and change it to, say... Windows XP. Should work.

If that doesn't work, I sadly can't help any further. I just tried the option above, and it doesn't seem to recognize it otherwise. :/ I hope my comment helps you guys out.

Verify the integrity as well... worth a try at least.

For zAo, Prehaps the Intel HD is the problem...?

Go in : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dungeon Siege 1 and make shortcut of Dungeon Siege.exe to desktop

Right click on shortcut, in "Compatibility" check has admin and select windows xp sp 3
In target after " I added DungeonSiege.exe" nointro=true bltonly=true width=1920 height=1080 bpp=32 zonematch=true

works fine for me

I never had that issue i am running win 7 64 bit

Either your OS files are messed up by going to random sites
or installing some program(s) etc

Or malware etc

You can try what has been suggested on here
or you can run the Win 7 "Trouble compatiblity"

If that does not show up for you cause it does for me
then there may be something seriously wrong with you're OS software

Running Windows 7 64bit just set the "compatibility mode" to "Windows XP Service Pack 3"

Dungeon Siege runs brilliantly for me:).I just read through all the advice on the forums:)

I get a Fatal Error: Unable to enumerate any DirectDraw devices installed on your system.
I've tried everything mentioned in this thread.
Also, in the video config there is no selectable option, i click and there is just an empty box on every tab.

Sounds like you video drivers are not compatable. Have you tried older drivers, or newer beta drivers? Perhaps forcing DX9 compatablilty (for Dungeon Siege) in the Control Panel for your video card? Can you install an older cheap video card, perhaps borrowed from a friend?

Doesn't run for me either. I get as far as the Character selection screen and it just hangs. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, AMD FX 8120 8-core, 16GB Corsair Vengeance Ram, AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB (current drivers). Have exe set to winxp compatibility mode.
