DS: LOA. HELP!

So after weeks of struggle i got DS1 + LOA to work by switching to Windows 10. I used Killah's fix to enable Aranna on my steam version. I've been playing with a friend the past three weekends. Yesterday morning I played. Closed the game, no crashes or errors. Then, late last night when i go to run the game; suddenly it wont work. The screen will just go black, white dots in the bottom left and the game will not respond. I have to use task manager to close it.

I verified files, reinstalled. < Ds1 works fine and dandy. BUT as soon as i reinstall DSLOA, it wont start. Im running windows 10. I didn't see any updates today (9/25 when it stopped working). I have DS on my exception list for my antivirus. Should I just add the entire folder to the exception list? I just cant understand how it can work fine only a few hours earlier. It has to be something my PC installed in an update thats blocking the program, right? Any help would be appreciated. I'm stumped.
