I tested your mod a bit.
First I took the 8 pp mode. I can say you, that not only the resistance of the enemies is extremly increased: I did like 10 times less dmg than usually. The ressistance of the players is also extremly increased! I was standing at about 10 Droog with 200 armor in difficulty hard and got no dmg. Usulally they kill me in about 10-20 sec when I have 1000 armor in difficulty easy, if I don't heal me.
Then I took the 2pp mode. I realised, that the resistance buff is the same like in 8pp mode. So I think this side effect was not given by increasing the number of pp the game think to have in the game. It must be something else.
I hope this information can help you to solve the problem with the extrem resistance.
I would wish them to have resistance like in singleplayer.
I also ran into the same problem but I found a solution! The problem comes from the new damage and armour formulae used in DSLoA. The mod you are using just adds a modified formulas.gas file that overwrites the normal one with modified multiplayer scaling values. But the mod was made using a formulas.gas file from the DS1 base game!
All you need to do to fix the problem is edit the exact same multiplayer scaling values but using the formulas.gas from the DSLoA file as the template instead of a DS1 formula.gas file.
If anyone still cares about this, message me and I'll put together a quick mod on nexus mods for it.
Otherwise to do it yourself is extremely easy but does require tankviewer and tank creator to work since you unfortunately need to unpack and repack the appropriate .dsres files to get access to the formula.gas file in question. Since this is on steam and you must be playin LoA to have this problem in the first place you are likely using Killah's fix, so open the Expansion.dsres file with tank viewer, extract the world/global/formula/formulas.gas file then edit the file in notepad under multiplayer scaling (very straightforward its just a list of ratio floats) then repack it using tank creator and stuff it in the resources folder.
TLDR: The problem is its a mod for DS1 not DSLoA, I can fix the problem if anyone still cares, message me and I'll throw it up on nexus mods, I might do it anyway as its my first mod and I'm proud of finding the problem.
Cheers
