Book Return quest in Glacern?

Anyone else have problems with this quest? The quest giver says he gave me the third volume to help me fine the other books, but I receive nothing in my inventory, nothing is on the ground to pick up either. Am I missing something?

I think the book is just there after the conversation.... Have you checked every party member's inventory?

yes, I even went to the npc's that have the other books and they say nothing about any book.

Huh weird.. Maybe you didn't actually accept the quest, just thought that you did? Maybe go back to the guy and talk to him again and make sure you click through to the end? I dunno, it's worth a try.

I took the quest but I can't find the book. I think I might have sold to a vendor. I can't remember. The NPC doesn't give the same quest again. There is no book at vendors. How get I the book? What can I do?

You should be able to spawn the book with DSMod. However you'll be entering the realm of modding, so you will have to install it, find the ID of the book and finish the rest of the game through DSMod.
