Then edit 'DungeonSiege.ini' according to what the discussion here is saying. Make sure you get the video driver without NL.
Info: The init on the game installation path does not matter so much. When you change it, the game tries to change the init in the documents folder upon starting. The problem is that many antiviruses prevent that from happening, without even telling sometimes (in my case that was). That is why the video driver actually does not change sometimes, and the game freezes. So make sure you edit the file in the user path not the game installation path.
