Legends of Aranna
I bought this game a long time ago, back then there was a expansion called Legends of Aranna... Where the hell is it now?

Ive installed the game again to notice Steam for some reason removed the expansion....

Edit: And not only that, there was a guide that I saw a week ago, teaching how to enable the expansion and other content, the guide was also removed.... WTF is going on here STEAM/VALVE

Guide restored trough Google Cache by Genesis.

Exactly... Steam is messing with black magic or something...

maybe they want to sell the expansion soon as separate product?

All is not lost, I made a quick guide this week-end after spending the whole day gathering resources, found an older version of Killah's guide through Google cache (thanks a lot for the guide btw).

Thanks Genesis! That was very helpful!

The link to the guide works, but there is no guide there and no instructions. It just refers you back to the Steam guide. I found the resources link, but no instructions on what to do with the resources.

What do you mean there are no instructions? I just double-checked and there are instructions in the guide about what to do with the files and for everything else mentioned in my guide as well.

The whole point of buying an old game on Steam is for the convienece and compatibility. If it's not complete or not working, the product offered is mostly worthless.
I made the steam version work on a laptop with the expansion. It just needed me to install the steam game , install my old game from the cds and copy that over the steam game and copy the folders Killah had for free that now are for sale ( whats up with that ?). Everything works nice and clean, but its a rip off to buy this game and not work for 7 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ euros.

Thanks, however the download link doesn't seem to work. Do you also have a link to the DS2 Broken World Guide by any chance?

Unfortunately, Killah removed the MEGA link near the end of July. I made an archive that's pretty similar to Killah's fix but I'd like to have his approval before uploading it.

The DS2 guide is not on Google Cache but you could install this instead http://steamcommunity.com/groups/DungeonSiegeOfficialGroup/discussions/0/364039785167627070/.

I'd like a partial refund, I think, since features taken away from a product that I purchased a license to use. Anybody read the EULA to see if it's legal for them?

no, u never bought legends of aranna. it was just an exploit that made us use the expansion. aranna was never part of the sale. it was just luck that we could enable it.

Regardless, we agreed to their 1984-esque EULA. See the following from eula_39190
