has res fix and how to get the LOA
1) Navigate to the proper directory
-For Dungeon Siege II go to
"Documents and Settings\*User Name*\My Documents\My Games\Dungeon Siege 2"
and open "DungeonSiege2.ini" with a text editor (e.g right click the file and 'open with...' notepad or any text editor.
-For the Broken World expansion go to
"Documents and Settings\*User Name*\My Documents\My Games\Dungeon Siege 2 Broken World" and repeat the above process using the file "DungeonSiege2BrokenWorld.ini".
Search for... (Press ctrl f to search)
width = ****
height = ****
Change "****" to your desired widescreen resolution.
For example:
width = 1920
height = 1080
Good luck!
I think I found the solution! It works for Dungeon Siege 2 (on my PC)
So its pretty much a combination of 2 other methods I found in many forums.
So follow the following steps:
Step 1: Go to C:\Users\*username*\Documents\My Games\Dungeon Siege 2
Step 2: Open the "DungeonSiege2.ini" using a text editor
Step 3: Change the resolution based on your monitor ( for me 2560x1440)
Step 4: Open Steam
Step 5: Right click "Dungeon Siege 2"
Step 6: Go to properties
Step 7: On "Launch options" field paste "fullscreen=false, resolution=2560x1440"
Step 8: Launch the game (its going to launch on a small window)
Step 9: Press the "Maximize" button on the top of the game window
That's it! You can now play on whatever resolution you like.
The downside is that you cannot play on full screen mode
Best of luck!
