Wrench sometimes doesn't work
As title says, the Wrench sometimes doesn't work. She just equips it without swinging it. I'm using a controller.

What could be the problem? This issue is extremely annoying, as it has led me to my death many a time.

If you're actively attacking something, pressing a hotbar key to activate gadgets like the wrench will cause Flux to swing the gadget at that target.

If you're not, it'll equip the gadget to hand, and the next time you attack something Flux will use that first and then continue by switching to her main weapon.

I found out what the problem was. The problem is this game's targeting system. With a controller, everytime you move, your "aim" moves too, changing taget from your current enemy to a random object/enemy, thus often impeding the use of the gadget(in this case the wrench, but I had the same issue with bombs etc..).

I think the problem would be easily solved if the control of aiming could be assigned to the right stick, while the movement assigned to the left stick. Or even, some sort of enemy lock. It's really really annoying when fighting multiple enemies, and you're focussing on one at a time for convenience, to have your target switch from the almost dying mob to the one at full health.

I love this game, and I love the devs(I fell in love with their work with Towelfight 2 and the other Android games), but this is ruining my experience and frustrating me to a point where I'm not sure I wanna play anymore. And I bought this game 2 days ago...

I think maybe the most intelligent way would be to retain the current design, where one analog(left) takes care of both aiming and movement, while implementing some sort of aim locking(where you can't change your target with the left analog stick), plus, giving us the possibility to change target with the use of the left analog stick(that would be its only purpose; to use in combat to change target).

Anyway, I'm typing a lot of words, but how can I be sure to be heard from the devs? Is there some place where I should be writing that's better suited for that purpose? Like on Reddit or some sort of board?

Butterscotch has their own forum[forums.bscotch.net] which uses your BscotchID so there's no registration.

It also has a Reddit and a Discord server whose link you can find on the right side of that Reddit.

Not using any of these I can't vouch for if they're much (if any) more likely to be noticed.

Ok, thanks :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem. It seems very problematic to not have reliable attack buttons. You can lock onto an enemy with the left shoulder button but even then sometimes you'll push a button to attack and your character will just do a weapon switch with no attack. Really not great. The unreliable combat system should probably be reworked before the game goes live.
