saves are missing

i lost all my saves. i had 21 hours played and now when i open the game it just starts a new game . how do i get my save game back ?

Did you click on the Saves button on the main menu and check in there? Did you start your game without a BS account and later log in? If that's the case it may be attempting to start a new cloud game instead of claiming ownership of the offline guest game you were playing before.

yes i have clicked on the saves button and there are no saves

did your computer crash while playing the game before you noticed that the saves were missing?

I had the exact same thing happen to me and I posted a discussion about it as well. If I was to draw on past experiences (aka minecraft) then my guess is that our saves got corrupted. There was a way to resurrect the save (in minecraft) by going into the save files and replacing some of the core files but I was unable to locate the corrupted save files when I poked around in the Crashlands' files. I'm hoping that the a dev sees this thread and can provide some additional guidance on how to locate the files and if there is a way to fix them. However, I just bit the bullet and started again.

Apparently this is a known issue that should be fixed in the next patch. From the release notes:

New Feature: Local Save Recovery
In very rare and IMPOSSIBLE TO TRACK DOWN cases, players’ saves were disappearing from their saves list when their device ran out of battery or died somehow. Turns out those saves were definitely still there, just not being accessed by the game. So we’re adding an emergency button that will allow your game to track down those saves and add them back into the list. Note: If you save your files to the cloud, they have a much lower chance of going missing.

Would anyone be so kind as to link me their own pc local save for Crashlands as I'm honestly tired of starting over and having to endlessly grind to get back to where I was time and time again. I would appreciate anyone who would let me have their save to continue onward from, and save me from starting anew. The farther you are in the campaign, the better. Thanks in advance.

I saw the news about the update and was happy at first hearing more went into the game so loaded up my game and my jaw almost broke my keyboard. (Sarcasm) Every game, save slot was empty. 100+ hours spent designing and building, all gone =( There is no way Im starting over. I just dont have the patience after what I put in. I feel for you loggraham2.

Add me to the list of people that lost their save files even with cloud saves on + BS profile logged in. And I thought I had it backed up on my external HD to save space on my SSD...I was about 80% complete with my first playthrough and now I really don't feel like redoing everything.

I changed my review after the above post. Your not missing much. I have not gone back, mostly because I found a backup of the game but ended up being stuck not being to play further, which might be why they chose to delete all saves back then. It was like an mmorpg where they do game balancing and remove items, which in my case is what trapped me as the needed equipment no longer existed, and just moved on.
