So if you have Steam Controller you'll be good, it's only other controllers that you have to worry about. Also the devs could probably take a look at the profile to see how the game is not really that far away from being controller-friendly.
For a very long time, people said the same about Don't Starve and not working with a controller due to it being point-and-click. Now, I don't even remember what mouse and keyboard feels like, in that game, due to playing it so much on PS4 and Steam (with an Xbox One controller). Just try Don't Starve, devs, and it won't take you very long to realize a game like this can be done with a typical controller (i.e. PS4, Xbox One).
Hey Jordan, game looks great as is of course but man, I would buy it instantly if it had controller support. Same goes for many gamers willing to purchase your game.
Please consider adding tgis feature (even partial Xbox gamepad would be sufficient).
Thank you.
Hey! That was from awhile ago haha. Thing have changed a bit and the developers have been working hard on getting controller support into the game (and might I add it looks goooood). Right now there is a beta channel open on steam for those who want to help test out the controller input! If you have any more questions feel free to let me know :)
I'm running Steam on Linux Mint (which is based on Ubuntu 16.04) with Xbox profile support. It works on Borderlands 2, Borderlands TPS, Don't Starve, Tomb Raider, but Crashlands.
And I know, it is supposed to be played with the mouse as stated before, but controller support doesn't compromise the gameplay.
So yeah, no controller support for Crashlands on Linux. Is that going to change in the future?
Edit: I missed the deadzone slider in the main menu. So it's perfect for me.
