Bloated Gutterfly
I need to kill Bloated Gutterflies for the component required for growing my pet gutterfly to epic size... I've found a single one since I started that hunt yesterday.

Of course, I know they only spawn in the Savanna at night. I've look at multiple distances from the crash site. I just think their spawn rate is way too low. It's ok if they're rare, but after looking around for around 10 straight nights, I think they're a bit too rare.

its pretty rare but they tend to spawn below graam's teleporter at night. i found mine there twice but it took a while between spawns though

Funny I was about to post a subject asking how the hell you find these things. I have seen I think one in about 12 hours of gameplay!

I have seen some at night very far south (well, I assume it could be in any direction) at the point where I start seeing the turtles and bats. I saw a few not quite that far out also, but I think I've seen 2 or 3 just in an hour of wandering around the turtle/bat level zones.

Nothing around Graam's, cleared the whole place, respawn does take a few nights it seems.

I do see a whole lot of Ancient Glutterflies, though. I think I have ~40 of their special drop, vs. a single one of the Bloated kind... It's just not right.

To be honest, I think the Epic Gutterfly upgrade should require the Ancient Gutterfly component, not the Bloated one...

I'm giving up... that epic glutterfly pet can go to hell...

its the funniest thing, i have been looking as well, finally found the last one and was able to upgrade, but they r uber rare, i mean at least its only two, can u imagine going after like 14 of them like the previous upgrade? best way just wait it out, explore and do other things, bound to find one as ur not even trying

That's the thing, I HAVE to be trying because that's the only reason for me to go back to Savanna at this point. And requiring night time is even more of a drag.

You can craft a bed to sleep in to switch it instantly from day to night, you probably already know this but just incase you didn't.

I had forgotten... well, I'll spend maybe another half hour looking for one...
Teennine Jan 23, 2016 @ 7:28pm
I hope you end up finding one soon! ):>
Good luck!

On my 5th night looking around, finally hit one.

And yeah, they should be a little less rare, but nevertheless I think they need to be the ones required for the epic upgrade (as opposed to what I suggested earlier).

Can anyone give me a suggestion on where to find these? im almost 20 hours ingame and have only ever seen one, which killed me early on. Now I have the recipe to make the item I have spent over 2 hours exploring and looking for one, i sleep in the bed to fast forward to night also.

Someone on here suggested grams teleported? Are you talking about the one to bawg area? Also do they not spawn where Wat bats do? I seem to see less gutterflys in those areas. Any tips/help would be apprectiated <3

Wats and glutterflies tend to not spawn together.

Bloated glutterfly spawns in the areas where you see the red tartils, womplords and other Tier 2-3 monsters. They (glutterflies in general) also only tend to spawn in the grassland areas so avoid the big tar pits.
